WASALive Bots
What are WASALive Bots?
WASALive Bots are a suite of robots we have developped, that collect fresh content published by various kinds of websites (main stream media, blogs, social networks, communities). All the messages collected are available via our real time search engine wasalive.com.
Why do WASALive Bots get some of my pages?
Our robots automatically find websites that reach a certain level of influence. Once added to our database, we regularly visit all the them to discover new content.
How can I add my website to WASALive?
If we have not found your website on our own, you can drop us a message here.
How can I decrease the indexation delay?
You can ping us or ask your host to contact us.
I’m a blog/community hoster, how can I improve my users’ visibility?
We already run many partnerships with blog and community hosting platforms. If you contact us, we will gladly add yours.
What about duplicate content?
WASALive never publishes entire messages. We only provide a short snippet, built around the query that users submit, so that you don’t have to worry about this.
Why are there different WASALive bots?
To run WASALive, we have had to develop many bots dedicated to specific usages: RSS feeds, WebPage Content Crawl, Robots.txt, Images, Influence… So do not worry if you see small differences in the name of our User Agents.
How can I protect my content so that it is not searchable on the internet?
The safer solution is to lock your pages with a password, using an htaccess protection.
WASALive Bots fetch my pages too fast, could you slow down?
We try to prevent the bots from crawling more than 1 page/second. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you want us to calm them down.
Does WASALive respect Robots.txt?
Wasalive Bots regularly fetch robots.txt. But in some cases, especially with virtual hosting, this can be a bit tricky. Please contact us if there is a problem with yours.
How can I remove my website from WASALive?
We would be sad to see your content removed from WASALive, but we respect your decision. In that case, feel free to submit a form.
What if I have another question?
We’ll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible if you contact us.
